According to Chinese media such as China Dotcom and Xiao Xiang Morning News, a video was posted online on the afternoon of the 27th that a woman fell and died on the 11th floor of an apartment in Zhengzhou, Henan Province.
The woman reportedly threw a large amount of bills out of the window on the 11th floor earlier. Hours after the splurge, the woman made an extreme choice.
The person who filmed the video said "It seems that the woman sprayed at least 10,000 to 20,000 yuan (about 1.87 million to 3.74 million won)."
Another said "I started splashing money this morning"The amount seems to be about 100,000 yuan" he estimated.
As the money fell from the sky, merchants and passers-by were busy picking up the money. One woman even used a broom and a dustpan to raise money.
The police, who were dispatched due to the residents' reports, visited the house and knocked on the door, but the woman did not respond, witnesses said.
The police said they do not believe there are any criminal charges such as murder, and asked the police station or local authorities to bring the money they picked up.
