American actor and singer Selena Gomez (32) confessed that she can't have a baby

The New York Post and USA Today introduced Selena Gomez's interview published in the fashion monthly magazine 「Venity Fair」.

In the interview, she said "I've never said this, but unfortunately I can't have children"

For medical reasons, she explained.

"Having children is a gamble for both my health and that of my child," she confessed. "There are a lot of medical problems that can put lives at risk, and I've been very saddened by this."

Previously, Selena Gomez was diagnosed with lupus in 2013 and received a kidney transplant from friend and fellow actor Francia Raisa in 2017.

He was also diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2018. In the end, it is difficult to conceive because of therapeutic drugs, but even if it does, it can be dangerous.

Asked about alternative ways to become a mother, such as surrogate or adoption, Gomez said "I think it's a blessing to have people who are willing to adopt a surrogate or adopt a mother. Both of these are possible" and "I'm looking forward to what my journey to becoming a mother will look like" he said.

She also told her boyfriend, music producer Benny Blanco, that she had not yet asked him to have a baby.

In an interview with Time magazine earlier this year, she expressed her desire to adopt at the age of 35 if she remained single.
