According to foreign media such as Daily Star, Michael Fitch, a man living in LA, claimed to have been stung by scorpions while sleeping at a five-star Las Vegas hotel 'Venezian Palacho Tower' in December last year. At the time, he said, `I felt severe pain in my testicles and groin.' `It was as if I was stabbing with a sharp knife or glass several times.'
He later suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and emotional trauma.
His wife, Batia, also claimed her sex life was affected by the accident.
One of the lawyers said the couple's sex deteriorated significantly after the scorpion stung.
The counsel said "Hotels have a duty of care to provide clean, safe and hygienic rooms to the plaintiffIt was found that the construction was underway at the time and the hotel received a notification that there was a problem with the message.
Accordingly, the hotel emphasized that it should compensate for past and future medical expenses and mental suffering.
