According to foreign media such as the Daily Mail, Caitlin Dissly (15) of Manchester, England, traveled to Egypt with her family on the 25th of last month (local time).
Two immigration officers approached a girl looking for luggage at Egypt's Hurghada International Airport.
They claimed that Caitlyn had short hair, unlike the passport photo, and that she should make sure she was a real girl. It was useless for parents to come forward and explain.
Eventually, Caitlin went to the health room to get tested. According to foreign media, at first, two male security guards tried to inspect it themselves, but due to opposition from the family, a female nurse looked at it.
According to Caitlin's family, the nurse asked the girl to lift a sports bra. We then tried to see the important areas in person to make sure there were no male genitals. When the family restrained him again, airport staff conducted the inspection by pulling the shorts tightly.
When it was confirmed that she was a girl, the staff said she could leave the airport.
Caitlin was "shocked and ashamed. I've never experienced anything like that before," he complained.
