'Blue Run with Jeonggwanjang' Marathon will be held on November 10


In commemoration of 'World Diabetes Day', a marathon will be held to raise national interest in diabetes. 'Blue Run with Jeonggwanjang' will be held at Sangam Peace Park in Seoul at 9 a.m. on Nov. 10.

Globally, the diabetic population is growing rapidly. As of 21, the global diabetic population reached 530 million, and the number of diabetics over the age of 30 in Korea is also rapidly increasing to 6.05 million.

This competition is hosted and organized by the Korea Diabetes Association and Sportb News, and sponsored by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Korean Diabetes Association of the Ministry of Health and Welfare. It consists of 10km and 5km courses, with 5,000 participants on a first-come, first-served basis.

'World Diabetes Day (November 14)' was established by the World Diabetes Federation (IDF) and the World Health Organization (WHO) with the aim of raising global awareness of diabetes and encouraging appropriate management.

To commemorate this, every year in countries around the world, the 「Blue Lighting Ceremony」 is held to illuminate major buildings and scenic spots with blue lights.

As part of this global campaign, 'Blue Run with Jeonggwanjang' is the first sports event to be held in Korea to celebrate Diabetes Day.

(G)The main sponsor of Blue Run is the 'Jeonggwanjang', which is promoting health care projects with the Korean Diabetes Association. 'Blue Run with the Articles of Incorporation' Participants can experience new products from the Articles of Incorporation.

Souvenirs given to participants are also exceptionally generous. In addition to T-shirts and medals that are basically provided at running events, various diabetes prevention and management products worth 200,000 won will be provided to participants.

Kolmar BNH, Chong Kun Dang Health, Kakao Healthcare, Maeil Dairy, Perlseth, RadiTech, CareMedi, etc?Companies representing the beverage and health and sportswear industries will participate as sponsors to enrich the event.

Various diabetes prevention program booths will be set up at the venue to provide various information. Various events will also be held, including cultural performances and lucky draw events.

The participation fee is 50,000 won for 10Km and 40,000 won for 5km, and applications for participation can be made on the website of the Blue Run with Jeonggwanjang.

First-come, first-served 500 people can receive a Kakao Healthcare blood glucose meter worth 100,000 won. Meanwhile, some of the proceeds from the participation will be donated to the Korea Diabetes Association to be used for diabetic patients.
