Jeong Geon-chul, a ship engineer, joined HD Hyundai Heavy Industries Group in 1992 and is evaluated to have contributed to the introduction of a new ship calculation program and the application of the affiliate integration system by the CAD development department through the ship design work of the comprehensive design department. In 2009, it was expanded to the company unit 'Cultivation of Basic Knowledge for Preparation of Joseon Engineers' course, starting with 'On-site Self-Education Education' for obtaining shipbuilding technician qualifications with juniors. In recognition of this contribution, it was awarded the 「Minister of Science, ICT and Future Planning」 on the 49th Technician's Day in 2013.
