The latest advertisement for a Chinese cosmetics brand has been embroiled in a controversy over grades.

Criticism is mounting over the appearance of a female model kneeling next to a male genital-shaped lip gloss image.

According to Chinese media NetEase.COM and Hong Kong media South China Morning Post, the cosmetics company 'FLORTTE', whose main customer base is in their teens and 20s, recently released advertisement posters for new lip gloss products.

Later, controversy began when a famous Chinese influencer pointed out that it was an advertisement reminiscent of a sexual image.

The poster showed a female model wearing lace gloves on her knees.

In another photo, a lip gloss product designed in the shape of a heart looks like a 'male genital' from the camera angle.

The ad was criticized for ignoring women.

Beijing-based gender equality NGO 'Equality' claimed its marketing strategy reflected 'Men's Eyes'.

An organization official explained that "an advertisement that presents women as sexual objects for male pleasure" and that "this method often leads to feelings of disgust, anger, and resistance.' It is pointed out that the topic can be gathered, but it will not help with sales.

In addition, social groups and media pointed out that the name of Plot's lip color was out of common sense.

Color is referred to as 'Kiss Little Juju', 'Kiss Neinei', 'Kiss Cherry', 'Kiss Mimi', and the terms juju, neinei, cherry and mimi are Chinese colloquially referred to as male and female genitals.

In response to this criticism, the company said "We did not properly recognize the current problem and will confirm it."

Netizens are asking "Who is going to buy this product?", It is showing critical responses such as `I thought it was an adult product advertisement.'
