The urgent need for pediatric emergency realization measures in children's hospitals for the healthy growth of children has come out again.

The Korea Children's Hospital Association urged the government to urgently prepare measures for the healthy growth of children, the future of the Republic of Korea, as of Sept. 1, when the emergency committee of medical professors announced on Sept. 2 that 24 out of 57 university hospitals nationwide do not have infant intestinal obstruction procedures and 46 do not have infant endoscopy.

According to the Korea Children's Hospital Association in June, the association conducted a survey on the emergency treatment of children's hospitals and found that 9 out of 10 children's hospitals are actually playing the role of pediatric emergency rooms, giving a glimpse of the seriousnessJudging from the announcement of the results of the emergency committee of medical professors nationwide, the situation seems to have worsened" he vented.

He also said, `The Children's Hospital Association asked the government to hurry to come up with measures two months ago because the children's emergency situation at children's hospitals is facing a serious situation, but the government wants to ask what measures have been taken so far.'

In particular, given the experience of treatment so far, the frequency of emergency visits to the emergency room during the Chuseok holiday is increasing, and at this rate, it is clear that the seriousness of pediatric emergency at children's hospitals will increase during this period," he said, calling for the prompt preparation of emergency treatment measures for children during the upcoming Chuseok holiday.

Choi Yong-jae, president of the Korea Children's Hospital Association (Head of Strong Children's Hospital in the Medical Government), expressed his frustration, saying, "We need to revive the collapse of the pediatric medical system, but now we have to beg for the rehabilitation of the pediatric emergency medical system." "It is just frustrating and deplorable how Korea's pediatric medical system has fallen endlessly."

Chairman Choi Yong-jae appealed, `We understand that some of the emergency rooms in university hospitals have been closed or planned to be closed or reduced. As a result, not only adult emergency patients but also pediatric emergency diseases will increase during Chuseok, when emergency patients are concentrated, so we desperately hope that children's hospitals will be able to reject pediatric emergency patients or provide emergency medical treatment without fear of medical accidents.'

Chairman Choi Yong-jae reiterated that `If pediatric emergency patients cannot be rejected, legal, institutional, and policy measures for pediatric emergency realization in children's hospitals will be prepared so that both pediatric emergency patients and children's hospitals can receive the best treatment and medical services in the best environment.'
