Sep 25, 2024

FarmGenScience (CEO Park Hee-deok, Kim Hye-yeon) announced on the 25th that it will soon release a self-developed long-lasting vitamin C product, 'Beating Long-lasting Vitamin C', with recent approval from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (Ministry of Food and Drug Safety).

'Being persistent vitamin C' is a health functional food that applies western technology that has only been applied to existing drugs, and is characterized by a gradual release of vitamin C from the body for up to 12 hours after one intake, increasing the absorption rate in the body.

In December last year, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety revised the 「Standards and specifications of health functional foods」, allowing the"Western technology to control the rate of melting in the body", which was only allowed for pharmaceuticals, to be applied to health functional foods". As a result, the company quickly completed the development of vitamin C sustainable formulations based on its own medicine research technology as it is possible to manufacture health functional foods with various sustainable formulations using domestic water-soluble vitamins (vitamin C, vitamin B1, B2, B6, B12, niacin, pantothenic acid, folic acid, and biotin).

Earlier, FarmGenScience announced that it recently signed a business agreement with BioPharm, a manufacturer specializing in health functional foods, to research, develop, and cooperate with sustainable formulations and will produce products in earnest.

An official from PalmGen Science said "Vitaying Persistent Vitamin C is a simple and innovative product that minimizes gastrointestinal disorders such as heartburn, a side effect of high-content vitamin C, by maximizing the absorption rate by continuously releasing vitamin C from the body even if only one tablet (500mg) is consumed per day. It has also strengthened safety by using only natural excipients for the first time in Korea among persistent vitamin C products on the market."
