Four hospitals under Hallym University Medical Center obtain the first grade of the 4th patient experience evaluation

Hallym University Gangnam Sacred Heart Hospital, Hallym University Chuncheon Sacred Heart Hospital, Hallym University Hangang Sacred Heart Hospital, and Hallym University Dongtan Sacred Heart Hospital received the first grade, the highest grade, in the 「4th Patient Experience Assessment」 released by the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service (hereinafter referred to as the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service) on September 5. In particular, Hallym University Han Kang Sungsim Hospital achieved an overall average of 95.33 points, the highest score among all time evaluations, ranking first in the country.

Patient experience evaluation is an evaluation system implemented by the Korea Appraisal Board since 2017 to improve the quality of medical services and build a patient-centered medical environment. It consisted of six evaluation indicators, including ▲ nurse area ▲ doctor area ▲ medication and treatment process ▲ hospital environment ▲ patient rights guarantee ▲ overall evaluation. The 4th patient experience evaluation conducted a mobile web survey of 64,246 adult patients who were hospitalized for more than a day at 374 senior hospitals and general hospitals nationwide from August to December 2023.

Four hospitals under Hallym University Medical Center scored higher than the national average and obtained the first grade. In particular, Hallym University Han River Sacred Heart Hospital ranked first in the country, and Hallym University Chuncheon Sacred Heart Hospital ranked first in Gangwon Province.

Hallym University Han River Sacred Heart Hospital received 95.3 points in overall satisfaction, scoring the highest score among 374 hospitals (45 high-end general hospitals and 329 general hospitals) nationwide, and at the same time recording the highest evaluation score ever. This is significantly ahead of the overall hospital average score (82.44 points). By evaluation item, patients were selected as the most satisfied hospital with high scores in all items, including ▲ 96.12 points in the nurse area ▲ 95.25 points in the doctor area ▲ 95.15 points in the administration and treatment process ▲ 96.05 points in the hospital environment ▲ 92.36 points in the patient rights guarantee ▲ 97.05 points in the overall evaluation.

Hallym University Chuncheon Sacred Heart Hospital ranked first in the province with 87.3 points in overall satisfaction, the only one in Gangwon-do. ▲89.3 points in the nurse area ▲ 85.9 points in the doctor area ▲ 88.2 points in the administration and treatment process ▲ 85.2 points in the hospital environment ▲ 86.4 points in the patient rights guarantee ▲ 88.7 points in the overall evaluation, and all six evaluation indicators received the highest score in Gangwon-do.

Hallym University Gangnam Sacred Heart Hospital ranked sixth in the Seoul area with ▲ 89.2 points in the nurse area ▲ 85.4 points in the doctor area ▲ 88.2 points in the administration and treatment process ▲ 85.3 points in the hospital environment ▲ 84.9 points in the patient's rights guarantee ▲ 89 points in the overall evaluation and 87 points in overall satisfaction.

Hallym University Dongtan Sacred Heart Hospital received ▲ 86.9 points in the nurse area ▲ 83.5 points in the doctor area ▲ 86.4 points in the administration and treatment process ▲ 85 points in the hospital environment ▲ 82 points in the patient's rights guarantee ▲ 87.3 points in the overall evaluation, earning the first grade with 85.2 points in overall satisfaction.
