G-Star 2024, which celebrates its 20th anniversary, will be held on a similar scale to last year amid the expansion of the indie game space

Korea's representative international game exhibition 'G-Star 2024', which marks its 20th anniversary this year, is expected to be held on a similar scale to last year, when it was the largest ever.

On the 12th, the G-Star Organizing Committee released the main schedule and programs confirmed along with the main participation information of the 'G-Star 2024' to be held in BEXCO, Busan, from November 14 to 17.

This year, the organizing committee said, it will provide new joy and experience through existing B2C and B2B exhibitions, G-CON, which is growing rapidly every year, and G-Star Indie Showcase 2.0: Galaxy, which will be greatly expanded to G-Star's new content this year.

As of the 6th, the current status of applications for participation was a total of 3281 booths (2364 booths in B2C and 917 booths in B2B), which is similar at 101% compared to the same time last year. According to the organizing committee, as a result of the high response to field applications and active early applications for stable exhibition operations last year, the B2C 1 exhibition hall 100 percent exhausted the large booth area prepared within 20 minutes of early application opening.

Chairman of the organizing committee Kang Shin-cheol said "This year's G-Star will be a very important starting point for the 20th anniversary and will be an important year to look at the new look and future blueprints of G-Star in the next 20 years." G-Star celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, and a special event will be held to enjoy and remember with gamers. A special space will be created to look at G-Star's history, future visions and future, and participatory events will be held where participants can participate directly.

Nexon, which celebrated its 30th anniversary this year, will serve as the main sponsor of G-Star 2024. Netmarble, Krafton, Webzen, Pearl Abyss, Gravity, Lionheart Studio, HiveIM, SOOP (African TV), and Google Korea will also participate.

Nexon announced that it will create a 300 booth booth, the largest B2C booth, this year to unveil various new works, and B2B also plans to participate in a 30 booth, the largest, to hold business meetings with many domestic and foreign companies. In addition to participating in the exhibition, a total of two sessions will be held at G-CON 2024, and Neople CEO Yoon Myung-jin will be the speaker of the opening keynote on the 1st, while Nexon Games' general producer Kim Yong-ha, who developed Blue Archive, will also share insights as a one-track speaker.

G-Star's core subsidiary event, G-CON 2024, will be held at BEXCO Convention Hall in Busan from Nov. 14-15. Compared to last year, when speakers from Shinji Mikami and Geumgangseon participated and were considered the best-ever lineup, the organizing committee said it will welcome audiences with a higher level of speaker lineup and a variety of topics this year.

Keynote speakers at G-CON 2024, which will consist of a total of three tracks and 42 sessions, will be represented by 「Three Kingdoms」 and will be presented as keynote speakers at the game industry legend Koei Techmo PD Kou Shibusawa (CEO and President Yoichi Erikawa), director of highly praised works such as"Final Fantasy VI" and"Final Fantasy VII" and director Naoki Hamaguchi, who is currently working as a remake project producer for"Final Fantasy VII" at Square Enix, will participate as keynote speakers.

In addition, a new indie showcase will be held on a significantly expanded scale compared to last year, with the expansion of the indie game exhibition area, one of the key contents of G-Star's 20th anniversary.

The event, with global open market Steam, confirmed the title with G-Star Indie Showcase 2.0: Galaxy Powered by Steam. The specially prepared Steam Deck Experience Zone plans to prepare games that require high specifications as well as games from various indie developers participating in this time so that they can experience themselves through Steam Deck.

The official G-Star application will also be renewed. This allows the B2C ticket purchase and mobile ticket function, which had the most needs from visitors, to be utilized within the application beyond the simple function of providing existing information.

This year's G-Star will also maintain the 100% advance reservation method introduced last year. Tickets for general visitors can be booked through G-Star's official website and official application from October 15.
