The Kinsey Institute at the University of Indiana in the United States published a survey of about 3,310 users of the dating app 'field\' The number of monthly sexes by generation'. The survey involved 71 countries, 18 to 75 years old.
According to the survey, Generation Z (born in the mid and late 1990s to early 2010s) had less sex than previous generations.
On average, Gen Z respondents said they had sex three times in the past month. The same was true of the baby boomers (born 1950-1964).
On the other hand, Millennials (born 1980-1994) and Generation X (born 1965-1979) had sex five times during the same period.
Dr. Justin Lemler of the Kinjay Institute explained that `Generation Z and Baby Boomers showed almost the same sex frequency, which was the least for both the youngest and oldest adults.'
In addition, despite having the least sex, Generation Z was found to be the most 'adventurous' group in the bedroom.
Fifty-five percent of Gen Z said they discovered new sexual tastes after signing up for the dating app 'Field'.
This is higher than millennials (49%), Generation X (39%), and baby boomers (33%).
The researchers presented two analyses on this.
First of all, older adults may have already discovered sexual tastes through existing 'experiences'.
In addition, young adults today are more interested in sexual tastes than other generations, so they may be more open to exploring and learning their sexual tastes, the researchers explained.
The researchers hope that the findings will provide a new perspective on the evolution of gender, gender, sexual orientation, and relationships.
