Gyeonggi Content Agency conducts a group test on four functional games for the elderly

The Gyeonggi Content Agency (hereinafter referred to as Gyeongconjin) said it will conduct group tests on four functional games for the elderly under development as part of a healthy game culture revitalization project for more than 100 elderly people, developers and experts at the auditorium of the Gunpo Senior Welfare Center from 3 p.m. on October 2.

The group test will be conducted with the help of the Gyeonggi-do Senior Welfare Center Association and Gunpo Senior Welfare Center. Testing for real users is a process that must be done before the game is released, but games targeting certain classes, such as the elderly, have difficulty in recruiting participants. In response, Gyeongconjin signed an agreement with the Gyeonggi Senior Welfare Center Association in July to promote the social value of the elderly and silver generations and agreed to receive cooperation for senior welfare center members to participate in game tests.

The four functional game developers supporting the development of Kyungconjin will demonstrate various types of game prototypes, including digital games, learning teaching aids, and board games, and observe user reactions.

MangoSoftLab demonstrates 'Kiosk education software' to improve the digital utilization ability of the elderly. Creacube tests 'Brain Cognitive Improvement Learning Parish' prototypes and software that activate audiovisual, tactile, and motor sensations. In addition, Meerkat Communications will introduce two kinds of 'Silver Functional Board Games' for improving cognitive and physical abilities. Kiwoom Tech will watch the user reactions of 'The Brain-Cogg Plus' that can help prevent dementia while enjoying games through interaction with users on the large screen.

Kim Sung-heon, team leader of the game culture team of Kyungconjin, who is in charge of the social value creation game production support project, said "Increasing cases of using games for cultural welfare or health promotion" Through this project, we will try to convey the positive value of games to the socially underprivileged and create a healthy game culture."

The four tested games will be developed this year and unveiled at the Gyeonggi Content Festival (GCF) to be held at the Suwon Convention Center on November 13-14.
