Gyeongsang National University Hospital Training to Strengthen Capacity of Health and Medical Institutions in Vulnerable Areas

Gyeongsang National University Hospital (Hospital Director Ahn Sung-ki) announced on the 12th that it conducted 'training to strengthen the capacity of health care institutions in vulnerable areas of emergency medical care' for employees of Sancheong-gun Health and Medical Center and nurses in emergency rooms at the program room on the 2nd floor of the Dementia Safety Center in Sancheong-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do.
The training, jointly organized by Gyeongsang National University Hospital, a regional responsible medical institution in Gyeongsangnam-do, and regional responsible medical institutions (Changwon Gyeongsang National University Hospital, Yangsan Busan National University Hospital, Masan Medical Center in Gyeongsangnam-do, Geochang Red Cross Hospital, and Tongyeong Red Cross Hospital), is designed to work with various organizations in the community to strengthen public health care infrastructure and to inform them how to deal with emergencies with minimal manpower.
The subject of this education was ▲ emergency nursing for patients with acute consciousness change ▲ cardiopulmonary resuscitation education and system construction in emergency situations. According to the subject, the head of the regional emergency medical center and the head of the Gyeongsang National University Hospital conducted on-site lectures including introduction of patients who visited the emergency medical center, explanation of the emergency work system, and training on intubation assistance in the institution.
Park Ki-soo, head of the public health care business office, said, `Since last year, we have been conducting capacity building training for health care institutions in areas vulnerable to emergency medical care, and we hope that emergency medical practitioners will develop their capabilities in their respective locations and provide high-quality emergency medical care to local residents.'
