In India, a teenage boy was arrested after breaking into a bank with a TV remote control and threatening to blow it up if he didn't pay.

According to local media such as Jagran News and Punjab News, a teenage robber broke into a bank in Vikaspuri, Delhi, India on the 25th (local time).

The 16-year-old robber had a TV remote in his hand, which bank employees mistook as a bomb trigger.

The boy threatened the employee with a note that read, `If you don't give me 10 lakh (about 16 million won), I will blow up the bank.'

Most of the staff were confused with fear when an employee pressed the emergency call button and police were called.

Police arrested the boy at the scene and detained him.

An investigation revealed that what he was holding was a broken TV remote control.

Police are conducting further investigations, including summoning the boy's parents.
