According to foreign media such as The Mirror and the Daily Mail, Tommy Matinson (52) won the 'World Frown Competition' held in Cumbria, England on the 21st (local time), breaking the record for the most male participants in the competition.

In the women's category, Claire Lister, 37, won for the eighth consecutive time, and her daughter, Kendall, was ranked first in the junior category.

The World Frown Competition was held in 1267 when the village's 'Crab Fair' was held. However, it is said that official records began in 1862.

The contest identifies the person who makes the biggest difference to the face.

Participants show ridiculous expressions with horse harnesses around their necks, and the five judges who saw them pick the winner who produced the most dramatic facial expression change compared to their usual faces.

Tommy Mattinson, who won his 19th championship of the tournament with a rubber band, said, `I want to win 30 games," he expressed his ambition.

His father was also a champion of the tournament, saying, `It's amazing and I'm really happy to win again,' `I tried to copy the expression of my father when I was a child.'

If you are a champion, you should also defend yourself. I will continue to play until I win 30 games."

Clare, who won eight consecutive women's titles, finished second and third in the junior category.

Having first won the women's championship in 2013, she lost first place in 2014 when she gave birth, but has since won back-to-back championships," he said.

Callum Scott, the president of the contest, said "A lot of people from all over the country have signed up for the very unique and traditional contest."
