A woman in China is getting fired for not preparing breakfast for her boss. The female employee was reinstated after the controversy arose.

According to Chinese media Dafeng News and Hong Kong media South China Morning Post, Lu, a new employee who worked for an education-related company in Shanghai, revealed on social media that a woman named Liu, her boss, told her to bring warm Americano coffee and boiled eggs for breakfast every day.

Also, my boss asked me to prepare a bottle of water so that I can drink it at any time.

When Lu said he couldn't accept this absurdity, Liu rebuked him and abruptly fired Lu through the human resources department.

In response, Lu demanded compensation from Liu and wrote on social media, `I felt helpless and unreasonable.'

Netizens said "My boss treated my subordinate like a free secretary. This is unethical and constitutes bullying", he pointed out.

As the controversy grew, the company fired its boss, Liu, for abusing his authority and forcing him to work privately, and reinstated Lu immediately.

"Lou's dismissal was entirely Liu's decision and was not in line with the company's policy," the HR chief told the outlet.

However, it is unclear whether Lou will be compensated.

Netizens say "Didn't the HR department initially take the side of the boss and fire him, but changed its position as the controversy grew?", "You have to compensate appropriately." give a back reaction.

Meanwhile, 64 percent of respondents experienced workplace bullying, according to a 2020 survey conducted by a hiring company in China. Common forms of bullying included being forced to complete unreasonable tasks, enduring verbal abuse, and facing sexual harassment.

In addition, more than half of those who experienced bullying chose to resign, and 6% revealed the problem through social media.
