According to local media such as Daily Baskar, Anand, who lives in Rajendra Nagar, Delhi, India, said his wife was treated for a left kidney stone and was taken to a large hospital. In the meantime, his wife's left kidney was completely damaged and he had to undergo a resection.
The doctor said "If you don't remove the left kidney in a hurry, your life could be in danger", and rushed the operation.
After the resection surgery, the doctor explained to her husband, Anand, "Successfully resected".
However, his wife died without waking up. Anand asked his doctor about this, and the doctor suddenly apologized as soon as he reviewed the chart again.
It turned out that not only the left side but also the right kidney were removed.
In response, the Anand family reported the hospital and its doctor to the authorities, and the Ministry of Health launched an investigation to set up a medical fact-finding committee consisting of private hospital doctors.
The medical fact-finding committee recently announced the results of the investigation that the doctor's negligence was confirmed.
The Ministry of Health plans to report the doctor to the police and continue further investigation.
