The Korean Intestinal Research Society launches a campaign for patients with inflammatory bowel disease 'healing routine challenge'

The Korean Society of Intestinal Research (Chairman Kim Tae-il) announced on the 2nd that it will conduct a 'healing routine challenge" campaign for a healthy daily life for patients with inflammatory bowel disease along with a habit-forming application 'Challengers'.

This campaign is designed to help patients with inflammatory bowel disease consistently practice daily health behavior and to inform the importance of active treatment and management of inflammatory bowel disease.

The Healing Routine Challenge campaign is open to any patient with inflammatory bowel disease. The recruitment of participants will be held from September 2 to 22, and the challenge mission will be available from September 23 to October 4. The application download, pre-application, and mission execution are possible through QR codes.

There are a total of two missions, and you can select one of the one required challenge and one of the three selection challenges. The required mission is the 'Steady Medication' challenge, which requires certification of injection treatment at least once a week or seven times a week, and the optional mission is carried out by selecting one of ▶No smoking, no drinking and physical activity ▶ Jang health meal ▶ Mind care. In addition, among the participants who succeeded in the challenge, the prize will be presented through a lottery.

Chairman Kim Tae-il (Professor of Gastroenterology at Severance Hospital) of the Korean Society of Gastroenterology said "Inflammatory bowel disease is difficult to cure by repeating deterioration and remission, but if you actively consult with the medical staff to receive appropriate treatment and maintain a healthy lifestyle, you can maintain a healthy daily life."In particular, patients have difficulty taking drugs steadily for various reasons, and it is important to take drugs consistently according to the prescription even if the condition improves in order to reduce the risk of recurrence and control symptoms."
