A handgun in an oven was fired in the United States, causing a fire brigade to be dispatched.

According to the New York Post and other U.S. media, an oven in the kitchen exploded with several gunshots at a house in Chesterfield County, Virginia, on the 5th (local time).

When the fire brigade dispatched looked inside the oven, there was a pistol partially melted by the heat.

A fire department official explained "Someone operated the oven without knowing that there was a gun in it, and five loaded bullets were fired."

No one was injured in the accident, but a serious situation may have occurred, it added.

It is also recommended to check the inside when operating because it is easy to forget if you put an item in the oven. "Please lock the licensed gun in a safe place like a safe house and store it."

According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), about 43% of U.S. households keep loaded firearms, half of which are not stored in safe places like safe houses.

Meanwhile, the bullet is said to be capable of firing at about 400 degrees.
