A man urinating in a field in India was seriously injured after being attacked by a tiger.

According to local media such as News 18 and Daily Basca, a 40-year-old man working with villagers in a field in Uttar Pradesh's Philibit district was suddenly attacked by a hidden tiger while defecating near a bush on the morning of the 23rd (local time).

When the residents heard the man's scream, they ran and threw stones and chased away the tiger.

The man who bit the arm lost a lot of blood and was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment, and it is known that his life is not affected.

Upon receiving the report, police and wildlife rescue teams joined the residents in launching a tiger capture operation.

Soon after, police and residents surrounded the tiger hiding in the nearby bushes, but failed to capture it alive. People were busy running away as the tiger appeared crying.

After the tiger disappeared again, police warned residents that they were chasing their whereabouts along with officials.

According to police, the area is adjacent to the Mala Mountains, where wild animals frequently appear.

The recent increase in the number of wild animals poses a threat to villagers adjacent to the forest. Last year alone, seven people were killed in a tiger attack in the area, and six people have been killed so far this year.
