Medical Services for the Elderly in Wonju Emphasized the Importance of Oral Health in the Old Age

On the 4th, the UDIT Department conducted a campaign for about 150 elderly people at the Bukwon Senior Welfare Center in Wonju.
The event, which was attended by more than 10 medical staff and volunteers from the Yudi dental clinic, including Ko Geon-young, head of Wonju Yudi dental clinic, was implemented as part of the Yudi care campaign, which has been going on for 13 years since 2012. The campaign, a social contribution project that provides medical services to the medical underprivileged and low-income people in the blind spot of medical welfare, has been conducting sharing treatment by visiting various parts of the country using the Udydental Bus, which has equipment for professional dental treatment. Wonju Bukwon Senior Welfare Center is a project to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Table Community Welfare Foundation, established as a Christian civic movement in April 1998, and is striving to improve the welfare of the elderly in the northern part of the country and improve the quality of life of residents by establishing the Bukwon Senior Welfare Center through a public-private cooperation project in Wonju.
The Yudith Department conducted oral examinations, preventive treatment, simple treatment, denture repair and washing on 150 elderly people who used the welfare center. In addition, the Yudith Department sponsored oral products and denture care sets to the elderly who participated in the event to help with their usual dental care.
On the other hand, Wonju Yudichi Clinic and Bukwon Senior Welfare Center signed a business agreement to promote medical welfare in old age. Both agreed to actively cooperate in implementing mutual social contribution programs to improve the oral health of senior citizens using welfare centers and to eliminate medical blind spots. Under this agreement, Wonju Yudith Clinic provides dental treatment to seniors using Bukwon Senior Welfare Center.
