In Thailand, a 73-year-old grandfather ran 350km in 16 days by bicycle to see his grandchildren.

According to Thai media such as Thai Ras and Channel 7, a 73-year-old man was seen riding a bicycle under the hot sun in Nanglong, Buriram, on the 28th.

He was a 73-year-old Tongsri Hapinram living in the Mueang area, about 50 km from there.

Asked by the rescue team, he explained that he was on his way back from visiting his son's 200km away from home.

He said that his son's house is in the Pak Chong area of Nakhon Ratchasima, and he is on his bike because he misses his grandchildren so much.

The bike was loaded with some money, radio, clothes, and an air injector.

The rescue team said it was too dangerous to ride a bike in hot weather and offered to drive you there.

The old man, who refused, eventually arrived home with a bicycle in a rescue vehicle.

His wife said he rode a bicycle on the 12th to see his grandchildren. The water and food were helped by the residents and the sleep was resolved in the pavilion, the old man said.

The son, who was connected by phone, said "It was too dangerous to oppose bicycle movement, but I couldn't break my father's stubbornness"

"Wasn't it hard to move by bicycle? When asked by the rescue team, the old man replied "When I see my grandchildren, my tiredness disappears and I feel rejuvenated.'
