My ex-boyfriend catches fire and kills Uganda's representative marathoner

According to CNN and other foreign media, Rebecca Cheptegei, 33, a Ugandan national marathoner, died at a hospital on the 4th (local time) due to serious burns.
She burned 80 percent of her body on the 1st when her ex-boyfriend poured gasoline on her and set her on fire.
This came just weeks after Cheptegei competed in the Paris Olympics marathon and finished 44th.
She was attacked by her ex-boyfriend at her home in Trans Njoia County in western Kenya, close to the Ugandan border, according to police.
She recently moved to train at a superior facility in Kenya.
Her father said "My daughter was arguing with my ex-boyfriend over the land" "I wonder why he tried to take away my daughter's stuff when she was just a friend".
The police announced that `It appears that the ex-boyfriend sneaked in and committed the crime when there was no other family member in the house this afternoon,' adding"According to the witness, during the argument, the ex-boyfriend poured flammable materials on Cheptegei and set him on fire.'
He added that his ex-boyfriend was also hospitalized with 30% body burns. The police plan to continue the investigation as soon as he recovers.
