Nursery teacher admits more than 300 sex crimes to 60 children

Ashley Paul Griffith, a 46-year-old former nursery teacher, pleaded guilty to raping, sexually abusing and exploiting dozens of girls he cared for in Australia and Italy, according to foreign media including CBS and ABC.
It took more than two hours for the judge to read out the 307 charges against Griffith.
Police charged Griffiths as one of Australia's worst paedophiles ever after the charges were made public in 2023.
Griffiths was first arrested in 2022 for producing child sexual abuse content. A year later, he was accused of committing 1623 crimes against 91 children.
Some of the charges were dropped and went to court on charges of committing crimes against about 60 children. Many of the victims were under the age of 12.
The crime occurred between 2003 and 2022 in 12 different regions across Australia and in Pisa, Italy.
Griffiths has been detained and sentencing is due later.
