The '2030 Kimchi School', which began last year, is one of the leading social contribution programs among Museum Kimchi, the 'Kimchi School' series, designed to introduce healthy and delicious ways to eat kimchi to trend-conscious people in their 20s and 30s.
This year, it is operated under the theme of 'Fall in love with Kimchi', and a curriculum has been organized so that the 2030 generation preparing for a fall picnic can make a delicious and healthy meal with kimchi. Participants in the program can make and sample 'Chertony Sauce in Tortia Lab' (Vegan Kimchi) and 'Chertony Sauce in Tortia Lab' (Vegan Side Meal) that can be eaten in one bite according to the concept of picnic.
Participants will be provided with Pulmuone vegan kimchi without salted fish, whole wheat tortillas, Pulmuone plant-based vegetative earth meal planto, and Pulmuone spring water Bridgetok carbonated water in an eco-bag between museum kimchi. After the experience program, you can listen to the description of the exhibition between Museum Kimchi along with the professional docent.
Participants must bring 800ml containers (or lunch box) of vegan sidemeal. Glass containers for vegan kimchi are provided by the museum. The program runs from October 12 to October 26, and every Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Applications for participation will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis through the Museum Kimchigan website from 2 p.m. on the 20th, and up to two adults can apply.
The quota per session is 12, and a total of 36 people are recruited. The eligibility for application is limited to 20 to 39 years old from those born in 1985 to 2004, and documents confirming the age of participants must be brought at the site on the day of the program.
Meanwhile, Pulmuone Museum Kimchigan is Seoul's only kimchi museum that opened in Pil-dong, Jung-gu, in 1986, and was newly opened in April 2015 as Museum Kimchigan(間) in Insa-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul. Through exhibitions that combine the origin and type of kimchi, making tools, space-related artifacts, and digital content, Pulmuone has been promoting and preserving kimchi and kimchi culture at home and abroad.
