The Korea Racing Authority (Chairman Chung Ki-hwan) and the Korea Anti-Doping Committee (Chairman Lee Young-hee) signed a business agreement at the main building of the Korea Racing Authority on the 7th.

Through this business agreement, the two organizations will establish a cooperative system to establish a professional domestic doping prevention program and to create a clean and fair sports environment. Performance-enhancing substances, which were mainly abused in the sports field, have recently been widely illegally distributed in daily life, and the problem of abuse is spreading. Under these circumstances, the Korean Horse Association is also strengthening anti-doping efforts by promoting business agreements with the Korea Anti-Doping Committee to protect racehorses from prohibited drugs and strengthen fairness in horse racing.

The main contents of the agreement include ▶ exchange and cooperation in the field of doping research to strengthen domestic doping management capabilities ▶ advisory and cooperation in the field of doping analysis ▶ consultation and cooperation in international support projects related to doping ▶ cooperation in sharing information and trends acquired through participation in international organizations and joint research projects ▶ and research and advisory activities required by both organizations in relation to drug analysis and doping management.

The Korea Anti-Doping Commission is an organization that oversees all human sports doping. He has been appointed as a member of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) in Asia and supports to maintain fairness in domestic and foreign sports events, including the Olympics and Asian Games.

Since 2021, the Korea Racing Authority and the Korea Anti-Doping Committee have continued various cooperative relationships through advice on doping tests, international seminars, and symposiums. This year, we are jointly conducting an analysis project on performance-enhancing substances distributed in Korea. With the conclusion of this business agreement, the two organizations more actively share and exchange know-how related to anti-doping work?Through cooperation, it is expected that many achievements will be made in eradicating illegal doping activities.
