The Self-Sustaining Medical Foundation (Chairman Park Byung-mo) announced on the 12th that it conducted a 'Hanbang Hospital Career Occupational Experience Program' for students of Yangseo Middle School on the 11th.
The Self-Sustaining Medical Foundation invited 12 students from Yangseo Middle School to Mokdong Jasaeng Oriental Medicine Hospital in Seoul to solve teenagers' questions about oriental medicine and oriental medicine hospitals and design self-directed careers.
In the first session of the program, various occupational groups in the hospital were introduced. Students had a question-and-answer session with herbalists, nurses, and staff members. At this time, hospital officials measured the students' blood pressure and blood sugar to check their health conditions.
In the second session, a meeting was held with oriental doctors, radiologists, and physical therapists. The oriental doctor directly presented Chuna therapy and acupuncture to the students, and the students also practiced putting saliva directly on the human body model or performing treatment on their bodies. In addition, when I met a radiologist and a physical therapist, I experienced X-rays, MRIs, and manual therapy.
Sohn Hyun-kyung, a first-year student at Yangseo Middle School, said "I thought only oriental medicine doctors and nurses work in oriental medicine hospitals, but through this career experience, I learned that I will also collaborate with oriental medicine doctors, physical therapists, radiologists, and one-time teachers.""I was able to learn more about self-sustaining oriental medicine hospitals by introducing the work of various professional occupations and experiencing the career of oriental medicine doctors."," he said.
