A snorkeler is seen being thrown into the air by a whale, making headlines.

According to the British media Telegraph, a snorkeler was filmed flying into the air off the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia, on the tail of a humpback whale.

"I was enjoying snorkeling around the humpback whale at the time, and one of the guides bounced out of the water," said YouTuber Jacqueline Payne, who was in the group. "It looks like the whale flew with a huge tail."

In the video, the moment was less than a second, but the size of the whale's huge tail can be seen.

Humpback whales can grow up to 20 m long and are known to approach boats and humans out of curiosity.

The man, who was blown into the air, was not injured, but rather smiled at the group and gave them a high-five.

Payne says "It was the first time in his life and he was very ecstatic about it."

Netizens are responding to "It looks too dangerous", "Don't bother the whale", "It must have been a good feeling".
