An elephant in Thailand is too fat to stand up alone.

According to local media such as Martichon Online, an elephant in Thailand's Kravi region became obese and had difficulty standing on two feet.

As a result, authorities used an excavator to get the lying elephant up on the 21st, but it failed.

The elephant 'Fangbunmi', who is 60 years old, could not stand since the night before. It weighed 3,000 kilograms and could not be supported by its own legs.

When the three-hour rescue operation using an excavator was useless, pain relief drug injections were administered and transferred to Elephant Hospital. Elephants are currently being treated for obesity in hospitals.

The owner claimed that Pangbunmi was previously at an elephant camp kennel in Phuket, where tourists fed her fruit and sugarcane.

The elephant, which did not come out of the cage, quickly became obese.

Since then, he has been able to adapt to the natural environment in the bushes on palm oil farms for the past month, but he has reportedly lived lying down without overcoming his weight.
