According to U.S. media such as New Jersey Dotcom and the New York Post, a woman who was sunbathing on the sandy beach in Wildwood, New Jersey, was reported to be on the front wheel of a police pickup truck on the way at around 3:30 p.m. on the 28th (local time).
At that time, the woman was reportedly lying on top of a large towel.
When the accident occurred, people around them ran and lifted the front part of the police pickup truck to take out the woman.
The victim suffered a fracture of several ribs and vertebrae and lung damage, although it is not life-threatening.
Witnesses complained about why the police car was driving at a high speed near a busy beach.
A police official said the patrol car was on its way after receiving a report at the time, adding that they will internally investigate the incident.
