The woman was found to have been frequently beaten and sexually assaulted, and was pregnant and even given birth.
According to the British media Daily Mail and the Telegraph, a 30-year-old woman known as Malgorzata met Matheus, 35, on a dating introduction site in 2019.
The woman, who was in her 20s at the time, went to the village of Gaikki near Glogov in western Poland to meet him.
Upon meeting him, she was confined to a barn made of bricks. Since then, she has been subjected to frequent beatings, rape, torture, and metamorphic sexual assault for more than four years.
Electricity, running water, toilets, etc. were not available and I had to live on the food I gave from time to time.
Matheus had no comings and goings with his neighbors, to the extent that he was called a 'loner' in the village.
Eventually, she became pregnant and gave birth at a nearby hospital. But I was forced to give up my child and send him for adoption.
I couldn't even keep it under surveillance.
Since then, he has had to remain silent even when he went to the hospital several times due to a broken arm and leg and a ruptured anus.
Then, when he recently visited the hospital again due to a dislocated shoulder, he secretly informed the medical staff of the damage.
Upon receiving the report, police arrested Matheus on the 31st (local time).
However, he is reportedly denying the charges of imprisonment and sexual assault.
