Madison Bergman, an elementary school teacher in Wisconsin, was arrested in May on charges of sexually harassing and sexually assaulting her 11-year-old student.
According to the New York Post and other U.S. media, during a preliminary hearing in St. Croy County Circuit Court on the 7th (local time), prosecutors released text messages Bergman shared with his 11-year-old student.
There were more than 33,000 text messages she shared, including a lot of sensational content.
The prosecution explained that the content has become more sexual and explicit over time.
Prosecutor Carl Anderson said the more explicit and sensational messages have been exchanged since April 27.
If you look at the message released by the prosecutor, you're excited in the classroom', There were 'I wear a skirt because you like to touch your legs' and so on.
In response, Bergman's lawyer refuted "There is never an expression that says she wants to have sex with you"
"They talk a lot about kissing, lips, cheeks, and leg touching. "They only talk about the body of a woman and a man, but there is no direct demand for sexual intercourse, such as 'I want you to do this' or 'I'll do it for you.'"
However, the judge disagreed with the lawyer's argument and determined that text messages were recognized as evidence of sexual misconduct on Bergman's part.
Bergman was previously charged with 'ing out with a fifth-grade student a few weeks before his wedding in May.
She is pleading not guilty to all charges.
