31st Anniversary of the Opening of Ewha Womans University Mokdong Hospital "Best Specialized Medical Care Provision"

Ewha Womans University Mokdong Hospital held a ceremony to commemorate the 31st anniversary of the opening of the hospital and to preserve the signboard of Kim Ok Gil Hall on the 14th.
In a commemorative speech, Kim Han-soo, head of Ewha Mokdong Hospital, said "I think it is because of the dedication of the faculty and staff that the Ewha Mokdong Hospital was able to hold a ceremony to mark its 31st anniversary. Miracle moments gathered to make sculptures, and the sculptures were stacked one by one to build a tower of 31 years of Ewha Womans University Mokdong Hospital"I looked back.
He continued "Idaemok-dong Hospital presented a vision through the specialized hospital strategy of Ewha Womans Cancer Hospital and Ewha Womans University Urology Hospital, and is driving the development of the entire Ewha Medical Center."In the future, we will continue to seek characterization based on the accumulated treatment experience and research results in the blood sector, providing more specialized healthcare to patients."
Following the 31st anniversary ceremony, including commendation of exemplary staff and long-term employees, the preservation ceremony of the signboard of Kim Ok-gil Hall was held as a second part of the event. Domestic and foreign guests demolished the signboard located at the entrance of Kim Ok-gil Hall and put it in the preservation box. Participants remembered the deceased by watching a video commemorating the late former Ewha Womans University president Kim Ok-gil, who promoted the construction of Ewha Womans University Hospital.
Kim Eun-mi, President of Ewha Womans University "Behind the new construction and development of Ewha Mokdong Hospital was the special interest and great support of former President Kim Ok-gil, who contributed to the education and social development of Korean women."It is said that Kim Ok-gil Hall will be reborn by inheriting the spirit of former President Kim Ok-gil, who was a great teacher of Ewha and lived a life of giving. I hope it will be transformed into a comfortable resting place and beautiful space for everyone," he stressed.
Yoo Kyung-ha, Vice-President and Medical Director of Ewha Women's University, said, `I remember former President Kim Ok-gil traveling in and out of Korea to raise funds for the construction of Ewha Womans University Mokdong Hospital despite his illness,' adding, `We would like to rebuild Kim Ok-gil Hall, which was built to commemorate this, to make it a patient-friendly space. I will remember the noble meaning of Kim Ok-gil Hall, the pride of the medical center, and continue" he noted.
Meanwhile, Kim Ok-gil Hall, the symbol of Ewha Womans University Mokdong Hospital, will be remodeled after the signboard preservation ceremony to expand parking lots, expand outpatient spaces, and expand severe/emergency disease facilities.
