A terrible thing happened when a 6-year-old girl who was swimming in a Malaysian river was eaten by an alligator.

According to the Daily Mail and The Sun and other foreign media, the remains of Cecilia, 6, who went missing while swimming in Malaysia's Sungai Tatau River on September 25 (local time), were found in the crocodile's stomach.

At the time, the sister and grandfather witnessed the girl being attacked by a crocodile, but they could not stop it.

After receiving the report, police, wild rescue teams and residents launched a search to find the missing girl along the river.

Two days later, the search party caught two crocodiles about 5.2 m long and about 5.5 m long. It weighed more than 1 ton and moved it to the land by mobilizing tugboats and cranes.

Among them, a bulging belly was split, and within it came the remains of Cecilia, including teeth and bones. The family sobbed as they watched the recovery of the remains. Police sent the remains to the forensic office for an accurate analysis.

The results of the dissection of other crocodiles have not yet been released.
