According to CNN and other foreign media, a space suit design for the NASA moon landing project 'Artemis 3' was introduced.
Unlike most white-colored spacesuits, it features gray patches on the elbows and knees with red stripes, the symbol of Prada. However, there is no Prada logo. CNN introduced that spacesuits are made of heat-reflecting materials to protect astronauts from extremely high temperatures and moon dust.
It can withstand sub-zero temperatures on the moon for at least two hours and withstand eight hours of spacewalking, as well as life support systems and pressure control functions.
Axiom and Prada said their respective clothing production know-how and space technology helped them capture both functionality and style.
Matt Ondler, head of Axiom Space, said "We broke the mold"Partnership with Prada has set a new base model for cross-industry collaboration, further expanding its potential in the commercial space" he said.
Meanwhile, Artemis III is scheduled to launch as early as 2026, and plans to land near the moon's south pole.
