Changwon Himchan Hospital Participates in the 'Rural Wangjin Bus' Medical Support in Goseong

Changwon Himchan Hospital (Hospital Director Sanghoon Lee) participated in the 'Rural Wangjin Bus' project jointly conducted by Goseong-gun, Gyeongnam Agricultural Cooperative Federation and Donggoseong Agricultural Cooperative Federation on the 11th and conducted the last medical support activity for local farmers this year.
'Rural Wangjin Bus' is a project to provide comprehensive medical services such as medical counseling, optometry and magnifying glass support, and longevity photography by visiting rural areas that are relatively lacking in medical infrastructure compared to cities. On this day, about 20 employees, including Medical Director Han Sung-hoon of Neurosurgery and Choi Jung-woo of orthopedics, provided specialized treatment for joint and spinal diseases and personalized physical therapy to local farmers who visited the site at the mobile clinic at the Guman-myeon Vitality Center.
For high-quality X-ray imaging, a screening bus was also supported at Incheon Himchan General Hospital (Hospital Director Kim Bong-ok). In addition, it provided higher-quality medical benefits, such as preparing the latest in vitro shock wave equipment and simple osteoporosis testing devices that can be treated only by visiting a hospital.
Han Sung-hoon, medical director of Changwon Himchan Hospital, said, `Although it is an extracorporeal shock wave device that is common in cities, I was surprised that it could be an unfamiliar treatment for the elderly in rural areas.' We will continue to provide medical support so that more people can learn various non-surgical treatment methods," he said.
Meanwhile, Changwon Himchan Hospital is participating in various social contribution activities such as supporting low-income surgical expenses through agreements with local governments, participating in blood donation campaigns, supporting ambulances at local sports events, and health lectures for medical staff.
