Construction of Pusan National University Hospital 'Glocal Clinical Demonstration Center'; Simulation-based education and training are possible

Pusan National University Hospital announced that it has established the 'Glocal Clinical Demonstration Center', an educational facility that allows education and training based on simulation of the same environment as the actual hospital.
Various medical-related fields require operating rooms and intensive care unit research environments, but in reality, it is not easy to visit and use operating rooms or intensive care units frequently. Accordingly, Pusan National University has established a 'Glocal Clinical Demonstration Center' that implements the same environment as the hospital's clinical site, providing a training space linking simulations to enable more professional medical education and research.
The center was created as part of Pusan National University's Glocal University project for shared growth in universities and regions, and is available not only to members of Pusan National University but also to researchers in other institution-related fields in the region.
Built on the first floor of S-dong, Pusan National University Hospital, 'Glocal Clinical Demonstration Center' consists of eight educational facilities, including ▶ Medical Living Lab Room ▶ OR Simulation Room ▶ ICU Simulation Room ▶ Hybrid Room ▶ Practice Room 1, 2 ▶ Studio ▶ Multipurpose Education Room.
In the medical living lab room, practice and verification are conducted through the use of various medical devices, user suitability tests, and clinical trials, and OR and ICU simulation rooms implement actual operating rooms and intensive care unit environments to provide clinical practice training for each patient and situation.
In addition, it has a practice room where simulation education such as endoscopy and ultrasound is possible, a studio where video lectures and video conferencing are possible, and a multi-purpose education space for students of the Graduate School of Life Sciences of Convergence majors and Convergence Medicine.
The establishment of the Glocal Clinical Demonstration Center will not only foster talent in the life-specialization field of convergence, but also support the safety and effectiveness of medical devices to be demonstrated and piloted at actual medical sites, and through this, it is expected to find unmet medical demand, early treatment, and improve prognosis.
