Daedong Hospital, 'Evaluation of Tuberculosis and Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease Appropriateness' Earned Grade 1

Daedong Hospital (Hospital Director Lee Kwang-jae) recently announced that it achieved grade 1 in both the '6th TB adequacy assessment' and '9th chronic obstructive pulmonary disease adequacy assessment' conducted by the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service.
The Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service evaluates whether medical services are properly provided to patients in terms of medicine, cost, and effectiveness, and discloses the results to induce autonomous quality of medical institutions and guarantee of medical options for the people.
Tuberculosis is an air-borne infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex, and most of them can be cured with diagnosis through initial tests and constant use of anti-tuberculosis drugs.
To reduce the incidence and transmission of tuberculosis bacteria in the early stages through rapid and accurate diagnosis and standardized treatment of new tuberculosis patients, ▲ diagnosis accuracy ▲ tuberculosis patient management level ▲ treatment results are used as evaluation indicators.

This evaluation was conducted on patients treated at hospitals for tuberculosis (January-June 2023) and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (January-December 2023), and Daedong Hospital achieved grade 1 with excellent performance in each evaluation index.
