Tesla, a U.S. electric vehicle brand, has introduced a prototype of 'Robotaxi' that runs on fully autonomous driving technology without the steering wheel and pedals. According to CNN and other foreign media, Tesla CEO Elon Musk held a We, Robot event in LA on the 10th (local time) and unveiled the prototype of the company's first fully driverless car CyberCab.

The vehicle is a two-door model with only one door on each side, and there is no steering wheel and pedal inside.

"We're going into production in 2026 and the price will be less than $30,000 (W40 million)," Musk said. "Operating costs will be 20 cents (W300) per mile (W1.6km) over time, charging will be inductive and plug-free."

He said "The future of self-driving is here"There are 50 fully self-driving cars here. You're going to experience a robotaxi through all the vehicles we make, including the Model 3, the Model Y, and the Model S" he said.

His plan is to run an autonomous Tesla taxi that passengers can call through the app.

Private Tesla owners will also be able to make money from the app by registering their vehicles as robotaxi.

Tesla also unveiled a concept car for the 20-seat electric van 'Robovan'.

RoboVan drew attention because it had a smooth design and the wheels were not exposed on the outside.

Musk could carry up to 20 people or be used to transport goods"A vehicle that can solve high density can dramatically reduce travel and travel costs.", he explained.
