A Chinese tourist destination has said that if you catch a wild boar with your bare hands, you can take it home for free, raising controversy over its risks.

According to Chinese media, including Sohu, the Orange Mountain Scenic Area Management Office, a famous tourist destination in Sichuan Province, has launched a tour package that allows tourists to take wild boars, rabbits, and pheasants home if they hunt them with their bare hands.

However, wild boars can be caught by tourists between the ages of 16 and 64, and rabbits and pheasants can be hunted by teenagers between the ages of 8 and 16.

The conditions should be held only with bare hands without clubs or other tools and should not be thrown stones.

Also, in the case of wild boars, you cannot catch a young pig or a sow caring for a piglet.

Wild boars are dangerous animals that grow in the wild. It weighs up to 300kg and can attack at a speed of up to 70km/h, and its sharp tusks are fatal.

Regarding the safety controversy, the management office said "The wild boars here are artificially bred and have no fangs. A cross between wild boar and home-bred pigs. "

Concerns about disease infection are also raised.

There is a possibility of viral infection of 'severe thrombocytopenia syndrome (SFTS)' that is bitten by wild mites. The fatality rate is about 20%, so caution is required.

It can also spread 'African Swine Fever (ASF)' to pig farms.

The disease, a deadly viral hemorrhagic swine epidemic, has a high morbidity rate and a mortality rate of nearly 100% when infected with the acute type.

Nevertheless, more and more people are trying to participate in wild boar hunting in recent tourist attractions here.
