Gachon University Gil Hospital opens Incheon's first 'Notification Talk-based Smart Hospitalization Procedure Service'
Oct 01, 2024
Gachon University Gil Hospital has developed its own 'smart hospitalization procedure service' to increase patient satisfaction by shortening the time required for hospitalization procedures, and will be implemented in earnest from October 1.
Gachon University Gil Hospital developed a notification talk-based hospitalization procedure system with Gachon Healthcare Tech (CEO Lee Beom-seok), a subsidiary of medical IT solutions.
It is a service that conveniently prepares and transmits documents prepared by a patient visiting a hospital for hospitalization on a mobile basis before visiting the hospital.
Eight types of documents, including hospitalization agreements, consent to the use of nursing care services, consent to hospitalization in the ward, and application for the use of higher rooms, can be easily completed by mobile before visiting the hospital.
It also operates a dedicated procedure window for mobile hospitalized patients. Patients who have completed hospitalization procedures on mobile devices in advance only need to visit the dedicated window and receive the patient identification card.
Using this service, not only the time to wait for hospitalization procedures but also the time it took to fill out documents is reduced from an average of 10 minutes to less than 2 minutes, speeding up the procedure time.
The service was implemented based on Kakao Alert Talk, so there is no need to install a separate app, and the hospital's own development has equipped Gachon University Gil Hospital with its own technology and know-how.
Earlier in September last year, Gachon University Gil Hospital developed and introduced the AP technology-based automatic bed allocation system with Gachon Healthcare Tech for the first time in Korea's medical institution. Through the system that automatically allocates hospital rooms for patients scheduled to be hospitalized on the same day, the task of allocating beds has been dramatically accelerated. Through this, the work efficiency of employees was increased, and the satisfaction of hospitalized patients was also increased.
Hospital Director Kim Woo-kyung said "Through smart inpatient procedures based on notification talk, patient convenience has been increased and window waiting has improved dramatically.""Gachon University Gil Hospital will continue to do its best to provide innovative smart medical services by thinking of patients and customers first."."
