Gyeongsang National University Hospital holds free stroke health courses on the 23rd

Gyeongsang National University Hospital (Hospital Director Ahn Sung-ki) Regional Cardiovascular Disease Center (Center Director Ko Jin-shin) will hold a health lecture at the auditorium on the 2nd floor of the Gyeongnam Regional Cancer Center from 2 p.m. on the 23rd to raise awareness and improve awareness of cerebral blood-related diseases on the occasion of World Stroke Day.

On this day, lectures will be held under the themes of Prevention of Stroke (Professor Kim Soo-kyung of Neurology) and Treatment of Stroke (Director Kim Chang-heon of the Cerebrovascular Center), and patients, guardians, and local residents who are interested in it can participate for free.

Prior to the start of the health course, the regional cardiovascular disease center will operate a health booth to provide ▲ blood pressure, blood sugar free measurement ▲ one-on-one health counseling by professional nurses on risk factors for stroke (higher blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol levels, etc.). ▲ Education booklet for early symptoms of cardiovascular disease will be distributed.



According to the Statistics Korea's '2023 Causes of Death Statistics', we ask for the local people's attention and attention to cerebrovascular diseases as Gyeongnam ranks first in the age-standardized mortality rate for cerebrovascular diseases.

Meanwhile, Gyeongsang National University Hospital's Regional Cardiovascular Disease Center has established a rapid treatment system related to cardiovascular disease and is operating 24 hours a day, 365 days, based on its excellent medical capabilities to obtain the highest grade in the 10th Acute Stroke Appropriateness Assessment published in July of this year.
