Oct 19, 2024

Hallim University Sacred Heart Hospital (Hospital President Kim Hyung-soo) will hold an open lecture on liver disease with local residents in the video conference room on the 3rd floor of the 2nd annex from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on the 24th to commemorate the 25th liver day in 2024.

Cirrhosis is a disease in which the liver is chronically damaged and cannot perform normal liver functions such as detoxification and sterilization. In particular, serious complications such as ascites, hepatic coma, and variceal bleeding can be accompanied, so treatment and proper management are important.

The Department of Gastroenterology at Hallim University Sacred Heart Hospital held this course to help patients with cirrhosis understand their disease correctly and manage complications effectively in real life. The program will be held in the order of three sessions and Q&A, including ▲ variceal bleeding (Professor Kim Sung-eun), ▲ Multiple (Professor Park Ji-won), ▲ Intersex marriage (Professor Kim Tae-hyung), and anyone can attend for free.

Meanwhile, October 20 is liver day every year, and the Korean Liver Association established it in 2000 to promote the importance of liver health, and the gastroenterology department of Hallim University Sacred Heart Hospital holds health lectures on liver day every year to promote interest in liver health.
