On the 15th, the first-generation racehorse auction was held at the Korea Racing Producers Association auction house located in Jeju Ranch of the Korea Racing Authority (Chairman Chung Ki-hwan).

At the site, a total of 142 racehorses were listed, and 46 were sold and met with new owners. The successful bid rate stood at 32.3 percent. The total successful bid was KRW 2.641 billion, and the average successful bid price was KRW 57.41 million per head. This is 3.53 million won higher than the average successful bid price of the auction held in October last year.

The highest bid price at the auction was a sumal listed on No. 78, recording 166 million won. This mallet produced by the producer of Good One is the character of the 'Valed Balencia (Moma)', which crossed with the representative seed horse of the Jangsu Ranch, 'Shackleford (Buma)'.



An official from the Korea Racing Authority said, `We hope fair and transparent auction transactions will be activated.'"We will continue to work with the Gyeongju Horse Producers Association to seek various support measures for production farmers, and furthermore, we will do our best to produce world-class horses in Korea." he said.
