Let's Run Park Jeju hosts the 19th Jeju Horse Festival to commemorate the patriotic hero Recliss

The Jeju Horse Festival is an event held every fall to celebrate Jeju Horse Culture and Tourism Month. This year, in particular, the unveiling ceremony of the statue of the hero of the Korean War "Recless" will be held, and more colorful events will be held than ever to provide a rich weekend outing in the season of cheongo mafia.
A horse race cannot be missed at the Jeju Horse Festival at Let's Run Park. On the 26th, the first day, at 4:30 p.m., the 'Jeju Provincial Governor's Grand Race' will be held to determine the best Jeju horse in 2024. Those who visit the scene will answer 'Guess the winner!'You can participate in the prize event and through a lottery, you can get the luck to become the main character of the compact car that resembles the strong horsepower and strong appearance of the Jeju horse.
Then at 5 p.m., the unveiling ceremony of the statue of the Korean War Hero Horse 'Recliss' will be held. 'Recliss' is a Korean mare purchased by a U.S. Marine during the Korean War and was the first to be given a formal rank for a military horse for its extraordinary performance on the battlefield. After the end of the war, 'Reclis', who moved to the United States with the U.S. military, was discharged as a U.S. Marine Sergeant and became the only animal to be named the U.S. Top 100 Hero, and is still widely talked about. The unveiling event of the statue 'Leklis', which was created to remember the bravery of 'Leklis' and to honor the spirit of sacrifice, will feature splendid performances and opening performances by the Marine Corps and military bands.

Throughout the venue, you can see the events of 『Yutnori』, 『Bubble & Balloon Show" and 『Mongsaengi Cooking Class』, which were popular at the Jeju Horse Festival every year. In addition, you can see the new 'Reclice Body Competition', 'Gyeongju Road Marathon', 'Race by Horse Racing', and 'Jeju Horse Long Range Race'. Through various food trucks on site, you can taste and enjoy food from all over the world, including Hawaiian Seafood, Mexican tacos, Texas barbecues, handmade burgers, and Jeju dried fish, along with draft beer tasting.
