'Imagine a jawless world' Muui, a corporation, today's campaign for a disabled-non-impaired world



Muui (Chairman Hong Yoon-hee), a corporation that creates a 'tuckless world', holds an event called 'Imagine a jawless world'.

Muui will hold a 'Imagine a Tuckless World' event as part of the disability accessibility campaign at the Hague Round in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, from 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on the 5th.

The chat of female wheelchairmen 'Girls on Wheels' talk, networking, and disability accessibility activists will be joined by the first generation to imagine the future paradigm of the disability accessibility campaign with citizens.



Part 1 'Girls on Wheels' is an event successfully held in April last year led by women with disabilities. This year, three women in their 20s and 30s who use wheelchairs under the subtitle 'The Jawless World We Live in' will talk about expanding the world through social life, travel, and exercise. In the second part 'The Unjawed World' event, a discussion of the past and future of accessibility activities will be held to think about how to make disability accessibility and the movement to expand mobility rights into awareness, culture, and institutions with more citizens. Bae Yong-ho, director of the Korea Institute of Architecture and Environment (winner of the 2023 Disabled Human Rights Award), who is the best expert in the field of access to disabilities in Korea and played a big role in enacting barrier-free legislation, talks with Chairman Hong Yoon-hee of Muui.

In 2023, the campaign led to the establishment of Seongdong-gu's ramp ordinance with the campaign "Everyone's 1st floor X Sungsu", and in 2024, the project was carried out with the Seoul Metropolitan Government's project group to install franchise ramps, make self-installation guides, and improve awareness of ramps. In addition, it has continued to create a disability accessibility map in which disabled and non-disabled people participate together, as well as a transportation map for the vulnerable underground transportation in Seoul, and collect and disclose accessibility data. In 2022, the decision to disclose government-owned BF (Barrier Free) data to the private sector was drawn through the Data Dispute Mediation Committee. He has also been engaged in activities to advocate access rights, such as introducing universal design taxis and guaranteeing access to schools for students with disabilities. 'Planning and conducting campaigns and events for the protection of rights centered on the disabled youth and the youth, and conducting education and lecture activities to improve disability awareness. Thanks to this contribution, Muui won the 2017 Seoul Transportation Culture Award, the 2018 Korea Disabled Persons Human Rights Award, and the 2020 Disabled Persons First Practice Award. In 2021, Chairman Hong Yoon-hee was selected for the Kakao Impact Fellowship.
