A male genital-shaped artwork has been installed in the center of the city of a famous Italian tourist destination, sparking controversy.

According to foreign media such as the New York Post, citizens' pros and cons are confronting after a sculpture of about 12 meters high was recently built in Muriip Square, the center of Naples, Italy.

This is because of the huge shape of the male genitalia.

The painting is named 'Tussina cosa grande' and is the posthumous work of Italian architect Gaetano Pesce, who died six months ago at the age of 83.

Before his death, he created it to express his appreciation for the environment that brings great energy to his loved ones" he said.

The work is covered with a white cloth on a huge column made of cloth and vinyl, which can be illuminated inside at night.

When the work was installed, Neapolitan citizens disagreed.

While some argue that "I'm proud that the work of a great artist has been made," there are also reactions such as "It's disgusting to leave the art" and "If it's uncomfortable for people, it doesn't fit the purpose of the installation".
