Jang Jae-chil, professor of neurosurgery at Soonchunhyang University Seoul Hospital, was elected as the next chairman at the 64th Korean Neurosurgery Association Autumn Conference and regular general meeting held at Grand Intercontinental Seoul Parnas on the 18th. The term of office is two years from November 2026.
Chairman Jang Jae-chil, the next chairman of the board, said "I would like to thank the members for their hard work in the gloomy medical field and doing their best"We will strengthen the capacity of the presidential office and foreign affairs and policies, select majors, improve education, and establish an international education research center." expressed his aspirations.
Professor Jang Jae-chil graduated from Soonchunhyang University of Medicine and received a master's and doctorate degrees from Soonchunhyang University. He trained at Johns Hopkins University Cancer Center in the United States and Stanford University's Center for Spinal and Peripheral Nerve.
Externally, he served as a member management director of the Korean Neurosurgery Association, general affairs director, secretary of the Korea Neurosurgery Research Foundation, general affairs director of the Korean Vertebral Neurosurgery Association, and president of the Korean Postural Neurology Association. Currently, he is an insurance director of the Korean Neurosurgery Association, an auditor of the Korea Neurosurgery Research Foundation, and a part-time judge of the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service.
