According to a video shared on Facebook, a kindergarten in Kuala Lumpur was flooded on the morning of the 15th when a heavy rain caused the river to rise.
The water that entered the classroom rose to the height of the students' desks.
The children stood on their desks, carrying school bags, and some wept in fear.
The video publisher urgently asked for help, saying teachers and students were trapped.
Upon receiving the report, the fire rescue team rushed to rescue four teachers and 21 students in the kindergarten and evacuated them to a safe area.
Meanwhile, 13 areas in and around Kuala Lumpur's city center were hit by heavy rains from 8:30 a.m. that day.
